Message from the CEO

Housing and connection change lives and transform society
One year after the COVID-19 pandemic began, in April 2021, LivEQuality was born.
In June, just after our founding, we received a request from the government: “Could you accept a mother and her children who are struggling to find housing?” We welcomed our first residents.
The two children, who clung anxiously to their mother every moment when they first moved in, are now thriving and full of energy. The mother, who had moved from another region without a job, quickly found employment. She now serves as a community leader, supporting those who moved in later.
“I can finally believe in the potential of my children and myself.”
Every time we hear words like these from the single mothers who have moved in, we feel a deep sense of purpose: that by providing “housing and connection,” we are helping to change people's lives, and ultimately society, one small but sure step at a time.
To date, we have supported 27 mother-child households in establishing stable foundations for their lives.
Now, as we enter our fourth year since founding, LivEQuality has further clarified its vision and mission.
Amidst an increasingly turbulent society, we renew our commitment to creating a market for affordable housing (quality housing for low-income households) in Japan. This is so that as many mothers and children as possible can regain their dignity, starting with housing.
Driven by a sense of mission, compassion, and a strong will to spread this ethos, we at LivEQuality will dedicate ourselves to creating this market.
We believe that by striving to become a leader in this market, we can illuminate a corner of the world where everyone living in this country can enjoy days filled with smiles and kindness.
While we are still halfway through our journey, we will continue to work together as a united team, giving our utmost effort.

LivEQuality Group CEO
Takuya Okamoto
Takuya Okamoto is committed to expanding access to a Japanese model of affordable housing as a foundational platform that enables individuals to rebuild and lead stable lives. He currently serves as the CEO of two affiliated entities: LivEQuality Ooya-san, a company responsible for property acquisition and management, and LivEQuality HUB, a certified non-profit organization that provides comprehensive support services to those who don’t have access to housing.
Following his graduation from university, He began his career in corporate revitalization advisory services at PwC as a CPA. He subsequently held leadership roles in the non-profit sector, including serving as the Representative of Social Venture Partners Tokyo. In 2018, upon the sudden passing of his father, he succeeded the family’s construction business. Building on this foundation, he launched LivEQuality in 2021, aiming to address systemic housing challenges and to support vulnerable populations, particularly single-parent households, in Japan.
In January 2025, the LivEQuality Group and Resona Bank signed a basic agreement to establish Japan’s first “Affordable Housing Fund”—a pioneering initiative that balances business viability with social impact. This groundbreaking collaboration was featured in the March 2025 issue of Forbes JAPAN in its special section “IMPACT: THE NEW CHAPTER—Impact 100.” Aside from Forbes JAPAN, his work and initiatives have been continuously featured in major media outlets, including NHK, The Asahi Shimbun, and Nikkei, underscoring his efforts to tackle a deeper systemic issue: dismantling the barriers to securing stable housing—an endeavor that restores dignity and opens pathways to hope and opportunity for the future.
